Our Story

Welcome to LSO Equine Rescue, a small  501c3 sanctuary for horses in need located in Southern Vermont. Founded in 2022, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome (if possible) and provide sanctuary to horses who have faced neglect, abuse, or abandonment. We believe that every horse deserves a second chance and a loving forever home.​  At LSO we provide comprehensive care for each horse, including veterinary services, nutritional support, and individualized training programs.

Our team of passionate volunteers and experienced staff work tirelessly to ensure that our horses not only recover but thrive in a nurturing environment.  We are committed to raising awareness about the plight of at-risk horses and promoting responsible ownership through education and community outreach.
